Hello! My name is Michelle Sanchez a current student from Hollywood High School who is in the process of doing her senior project. The topic I chose for my senior project is orcas used as entertainment. My main focus is SeaWorld and their captive orcas. I’m here to learn more about it and to be able to educate people aren't aware about the situtation.

    What made want to pick this topic was that I’m a huge an animal lover and I believe animals deserve respect and rights just like humans do. My friend this passed summer introduced me to a documentary called, "Blackfish". Blackfish is controversial film, based on a life of a captive orca and the production of SeaWorld.

    Many who visit the attraction park are not aware of the circumstances these animals live under and the lies SeaWorld tells their visitors. After, doing my research on captive orcas at SeaWorld I found out new things I was not aware about before. This gave me a new perspective on SeaWorld and made me want to inform people about the truth . If  more people knew about the situtation, I can bet many would want a change and stand up for these animals!
